From 2004 to 2014 researcher/general manager positions at CPqD Foundation (photonics and optical communications). Founder and CEO of BrPhotonics, 2014, a high-tech startup with accelerated growth in optical communications area developing high end products, LASERs, Modulators, ASICs. Founder of PI-TEC Product Technologies, 2017, developing scientific instrumentation for synchroton detection. From August,2018, CEO of IDEA! Sistemas Eletrônicos, developing deep submicron ASICs and highly integrated photonics devices. Over 15 years of experience in optical communications field, lead 12 optical communications R&D projects, producing 15 patents (INPI), 140+ papers and 20 technological products currently in optical communications market.

Product Engineering Director

(Opto-Electronics), UNICAMP-Brazil, 2008, and Ph.D, University of São Paulo (USP/EESC) Electrical Eng. (Telecommunications), 2014. From 2005 to 2016 researcher/manager positions at CPqD Foundation (photonics and optical communications product development). Product development manager at BrPhotonics 2016 to 2017, a high-tech startup optical communications company developing high end products, LASERs, Modulators, ASICs. Co-founder of PI-TEC Product Technologies, 2017, developing scientific instrumentation for synchroton detection. From April, 2017, Technical director of IDEA! Sistemas Eletrônicos, supporting deep submicron ASICs development and highly integrated photonics devices. Over 12 years of experience in optical communications field, producing 5 patents (INPI), 100+ papers and 12 technological products on the market.

Jacklyn D. Reis

Microelectronics Director

Dr. Jacklyn D. Reis has over 12 years experience on optical communications focusing on high-speed optical transmission, networking and digital signal processing. As a Microelectronics B.U. Director, he leads 40+ top engineers developing signal processing ASICs for optical transceivers in deep sub-micron nodes. He worked at CPqD Foundation as a R&D specialist leading a 25+ R&D team with expertise in optical transmission systems and networking. He worked at BrPhotonics in 2017 as a optical system manager focusing on optical system modeling and DSP IP cores development for 400G/600G systems.
He has BSc (2006) and MSc (2007) degrees in Electrical Engineering from UFPA – Federal University of Para and PhD degree from University of Aveiro (2012). He has published 150+ scientific papers in the field including top conferences (OFC and ECOC), highly ranked journals (JLT, PTL, Optics Express) with 900+ citations (h14). He is an IEEE and OSA member, highly active in industry forums and standards and has filled 8 patents.

Luis Henrique Hecker de Carvalho

Photonics Director

Electrical Engineer, M.Sc., with 10 years of experience in Optics and Photonics. He is a specialist in photonic devices product development, optical components test and high-speed optical systems. Received its Electrical Engineering degree from UFCG in 2011 and M.Sc. degree from UNICAMP in 2014. From 2011 to 2014 was a Researcher at CPqD Foundation, working as Technical Leader of the optical transmission team. From 2015 to 2017 he was at BrPhotonics as Director of Advanced Systems and CTO, a high-tech startup developing devices for the optical telecom market such as LASERs, Modulators, Receivers, and ASICs. He joined IDEA! Electronic Systems on December 2017 as the Photonics Director and is currently working on high-technology development services. Has 6 patents and more than 90 papers published in leading journals and conferences in the field of photonics and optical communications.
