ICA9901
Embedded Microcontroler for Telecom Applications
|
The
ICA9901 component is a low consumption digital integrated circuit
, implemented as a SoC (System on a Chip) developed to meet the
specifications of public phone cards by ICATEL .
Parts os this microchip are: a 80c51 microprocessor, a M14268 Real
Timer Clock , and RAM internal memories totalizing 16 K for either
code memory or data memory uses.
The
ICA9901 also performs the functions of CPU, RTC, RAM, I / OControl
, internal registers and interface with ROM memory .

|
Applications:
The
device was designed to, with a ROM memory and a MODEM, implement
functions of control on public phone' s main board with inductive
card.
The
followed especifications meet the requirements of both Brazilian
and Chinese market, which facilitates the export of Brazilian public
telephones to different countries.
The
operation modes of low consumption allow the system a long period
of operation with batteries.
The
full compatibility of its programming with the 80c51 microcontroller
facilitates the development and maintenance of its firmware.

Features:
Using ICA9901
integrated circuit, the system performs, beyond existing functions in
previous versions, also the following functions:
- Code
addressing in flash/E2prom, Eprom (64 kbytes), boot in Eprom (8 kbytes)
and page (2 Kbytes) in the internal RAM.
- Integrated
RTC M146818 , used to generate signals of 182 Hz and 800 Hz; it can
also be programmed to generate 8192 Hz
- monitor
circuits (watchdog timer), authorized by internal record programming.
- Entry
ports that awake the CPU
- Generator
of 800 Hz enabled by internal recorder.
- Generator
of 182 Hz enabled by internal recorder.
